Being an online student
To be honest, I really like the flexibility and the anonymity of being an online student. It takes the fear out of making a mistake as far as class participation since no one will see you in case you give out a wrong aswer to a question. During the days I was in school, which is so many years ago, I remember always hesitating even if I was a hundred percent sure of the answer. I guess being young and shy was a huge part of the problem. But online school is in a way the answer to those who are having a problem like I had in a traditional school. The flexibility is the selling point for me. With work and family, I would not be able to accomplish my goals if online schools don't exist. Thank goodness....three more terms I am done!

I never thought of that reason before for being an online student. That is a great reason. I too, love the flexibility of online learning. Congratulations on only having three more terms until you are finished. THat is awesome. What is your major?
ReplyDeleteI too like the felexibility of being an online student. I was also a shy girl when I was in school (still am sometimes) so you're right when it comes to not wanting to make a fool out of yourself when answering questions. Unfortunately for me this will no longer be the case as I have decided to change my major from Medical Transcription to RN. So now I will have to go to school, and interact with others.

ReplyDeleteSeminar is also casual, so you do not feel bad if you say the wrong thing, or that is the way it should be.
I love online school!! I live in a rural area and it would be a 30 min to 1 hour drive each way for me to attend any other type school. I love being able to sit at my computer in my recliner in my PJ's and go to class. I have done so well much better than I ever expected and it gives me a whole new confidence that I had never had before!
ReplyDeleteGood luck in your schooling!!
